Spam and advertising calls are a major problem in telecommunications and India in particular has struggled with them for the past few years. In 2010, a register was introduced for this purpose, on which customers could register if they did not want to be disturbed by such calls. Unfortunately, the registry did not provide an effective solution through fraudulent means used by spammers to consent to the calls. It was only a few years ago that the telecommunications providers got together and from then on they used blockchain technology to prevent potential spam calls. Due to the real-time viewing of the registered customers by the providers, the spam calls could be quickly localized and blocked.
