The American Post Office USPS recently launched its digital postage stamps. These stamps use NFTS (non-fungible tokens), which are based on blockchain technology and are therefore unique and traceable. In this way, Swiss Post wants to support its customers in purchasing postage and provide them with security. The NFT stamps are digitally printed on Swiss Post’s so-called ePostage labels and stamped on the items. Thanks to the blockchain, this creates a verifiable chain of custody. The system will initially be available exclusively to lawyers and government agencies, and soon then also to everyone.
