Bitcoin has to find its way in the middle of society; two companies could soon provide the necessary boost. The payment service provider Ingenico, together with the Austrian FinTech Salamantex, has the first POS terminal that has integrated the payment option with digital currencies as standard.
Salamantex and Ingenico ask BTC at the checkout

At EuroShop2020, the world’s largest trade fair for retail investment needs, companies want to show how crypto currency could find its way into society. The terminal supports the possibility to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum or Dash. The POS terminal itself converts the amount and the retailers receive the amount in Euro by default.

Especially in tourism, modern payment methods are the order of the day, so in order not to endanger their sales, merchants should consider accepting crypto-currencies. The technological infrastructure for merchant acceptance of Bitcoin & Co. is provided by Salamantex. The company promises as a middleman to absorb the exchange rate risk.
