For the decentralisation of data from offices and institutions, Huawei is developing a block chain for the Chinese government. Initially, data volumes from the Beijing administrative district will be transferred to the block chain, with other regions to follow after a proof of concept. It is hoped that the block chain will optimise the exchange of data between authorities and institutions. In addition, the conversion and transfer of the data to a block-chain-based infrastructure eliminated high administrative costs.
