According to a recent survey, one in ten Americans invests in cryptocurrencies. Moreover, half of the respondents only started investing within the last year. The newcomers are also those who trust Bitcoin in particular to gain in value.

Almost half of crypto-investors cite the majority of ways to buy and sell cryptocurrencies easily as the reason for their investment. In addition, just over a third of respondents find the experience exciting and around 30% see the potential for short-term value.

In Germany, however, the will to invest in cryptocurrencies is far from as high as in the USA. According to a survey from October 2020, 41% of respondents cannot imagine any form of investment.
