Square, the digital payments company announced the change of its company name to “Block”. The renaming is intended to bring the payments company Cash App, decentralised bitcoin (BTC) exchange tbDEX and music and video streaming platform Tidal under one roof. The cryptocurrency-focused arm of payments company Square Crypto will change its name to Spiral as part of the move and join the Block family.

The renaming of the company is only a change of the official company name, the goal, vision, structure and operation of the company should not have changed.
