A couple from Phoenix got married over the weekend using their digital identities. This is the first marriage, which was made in the metaverse. The ceremony took place on Decentraland on Saturday. In attendance were 2,000 virtual guests, the groomsmen and Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick. The bride and groom, Ryan and Candice Hurley, hired Rose Law Group to legally formalize their marriage. The group’s founder and president Jordan Rose explained that this was the first wedding to take place in a blockchain-based metaverse.
