The first blockchain school will open in the Middle East, in the Saudi Arabian city of Riyadh, according to an announcement from the BSV Blockchain Association. The new facility will offer training and development tools to government organizations and businesses interested in adopting or experimenting with blockchain technology.

According to the announcement, the Saudi Blockchain Academy (SDA) will collaborate with the Swiss blockchain industry association Bitcoin SV (BSV) to educate experts on new technologies accordingly and assist in the implementation of the so-called Saudi Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched the SDA and considers it an important national project. The project aims to develop human capital and digital skills. This is to prepare the youth for employment in the field of telecommunications and information technology.

The BSV and SDA will collaborate on the new Blockchain Academy in Riyadh to provide learning and development resources for various audiences, including developers, students, startup entrepreneurs, executives, and government officials. The school will primarily focus on the BSV blockchain and will be launched by SDA as part of several sector-specific education programs.
