Blockchain and cloud technology have experienced strong user growth in recent years. Whether personal pictures, files or the entire data infrastructure of a company – everything can be found in the cloud and is networked with it. Blockchain is the antithesis of the interconnected and centralized world of the cloud. It promises to secure data in a decentralized manner.

Whether the blockchain will succeed in replacing the cloud at some point is still uncertain at present. Currently, the blockchain is not yet mature enough to replace the cloud and its applications. It is also possible that in the future the cloud and blockchain technologies will go hand in hand.
