They all have something to do with “Blockbuster” – the birth of DeFilm streaming.

Last year, a DAO (short for Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) managed to buy a unique Wu-Tang Clan album as NFT. Now the BlockbusterDAO, which is a kind of blockchain-based cross between a startup and something like a club, has set itself the goal of buying the former video store chain “Blockbuster” and turning it into a decentralised streaming service to compete with Netflix. The whole thing is interesting because the head of Blockbuster at the time, of all people, had sacked founders Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph for this “stupid idea called Netflix”. “Who wants to watch movies on the internet?”

And now BlockbusterDAO wants to rewrite history. Late revenge or nostalgic transfiguration?
