Wirex users can spend 62 fiat and cryptocurrencies in over 61 million locations around the world through the Wirex platform. On Monday, the platform has now announced the integration of Avalanche (AVAX) into its ecosystem. This means users can receive, send, store and exchange AVAX tokens, as well as add their own tokens via the Avalanche blockchain. The company has planned to launch several AVAX-based tokens in the coming months.

In addition, Wirex users will receive 20 per cent interest per year on their AVAX with its decentralised financial savings product X-Accounts. Wirex has over 4.5 million users in over 120 countries. The offering includes the app, wallets and payment platform. The addition of AVAX to the Wirex ecosystem is expected to help build use cases around improving blockchain accessibility.
