Activision Blizzard, the company behind “Call of Duty”, describes in a patent the use of blockchain technology. However, there is still a long way to go before it is ready for the market. It is clear from the content of the patent that the company intends to put results data from games on a block chain. There the data would be protected against possible manipulation. Digital theft of gaming services or in-game treasures would thus be a thing of the past.
