Gold is slowly recovering on Thursday morning from its mid-week low of 1,731.60 U.S. dollars per ounce. At the high, the quotations recorded so far 1,747.64 U.S. dollars per ounce. The U.S. dollar, with which the precious metal is usually negatively correlated, falls back slightly on a broad basis from its fresh 20-year high marked yesterday.
