Funny cryptocurrencies like the dog-inspired Dogecoin or Shiba Inu are currently booming. The fact that they can temporarily bring it to a market capitalisation of over 70 billion euros says more about the heated crypto market than about the inventors of such coins. The satirical blog “Die Tagespresse” has now also jumped on this trend. It is introducing its own cryptocurrency called Blümel Coin, which will be distributed free of charge to the first interested parties.

However, in order for the Blümel to be accepted as a means of money, it is necessary to distribute it as unfairly as possible. Therefore, the first 89,200 people would receive 100 Blümel for free. The 100 Blümel coins can be obtained via airdrop. To do this, you have to dock with your own Ethereum wallet via Metamask and add the Blümel token.

Whether the Blümel currency, like Dogecoin or Shiba Inu, will ever be worth anything can be highly doubted at this point. Although the coins can be sent to Ethereum recipients as ERC20 tokens, for speculative transactions to drive up the price, it must also be possible to trade the coin easily. For this, it would at least be necessary for the Blümel Coin to be tradable on the user-based platform Uniswap.
